PROPL 2026 (Programming for the Planet) is an open working meeting co-located with PLDI 2026 in Boulder, Colorado (June 15–19, 2026). The workshop brings together climate practitioners and computing researchers to develop requirements and technical approaches for a next-generation planetary compute engine — a large-scale system for continuous collection, processing, and analysis of Earth’s environmental data.

Position papers (1 page) are due April 24, 2026. See the workshop page for details.
